Araseli Diaz Jurek, 48 of Fenton, Michigan (formerly of Fennville, Michigan), passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Trinity Health Medical Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  Born November 15, 1974, in Zeeland, Michigan, she was the daughter of Rodolfo and Maria (Lara) Diaz and the wife of Daniel G. Jurek.  Araseli, known to most as Sally, was a loving and kind woman who relished being a wife and mother.  She enjoyed going shopping for her family, some would say she was a bit of a shopaholic, but finding special items to give them brought a lot of joy into Sally's life.  She was known to purchase a few things for herself too!  Sally also spent time cooking and baking for her family and friends.  Providing for others was just who she was.  For fitness, and just for fun, Sally was also known as a runner.   Being in the fresh air and spending time with others who liked to run was a great experience for Sally.  Her loving spirit and true kindness will be remembered as her family cherishes the memories they have made.

Along with her parents and her husband, Sally is survived by her daughter, Genesis Sierra Laseur; her three stepchildren, Karsen Garrity, Maddox Jurek, Giuliana Jurek, and Makswell Jurek; her three brothers, Rudy (Mindy) Diaz, Jr., Albert Diaz, and Phillip Diaz; her mother-in-law, Thelma Jurek; her brother-in-law, Steven Jurek; and her sister-in-law, Angie Jurek.  She was preceded in death by her baby daughter, Emily Rose Laseur; and her father-in-law, Eugene Jurek.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chappell Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM, Pastor Shea Prisk officiating.  Memorial donations may be made in Sally's name to American Kidney Fund ­­­­­­­­­­­­(American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 / https://www.kidneyfund.org).
