Anthony "Red" Delke, 91 of Saugatuck, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven, MI. Born Nov. 1, 1916 in Chicago, Il, the son of Frank Delke and Elizabeth Eiter Delke, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Katherine "Kate: Bieler Nov. 10, 1945, and she preceded him in death Jan. 30, 2007, he was also preceded in death by one son Christopher Delke. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Saugatuck, and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his children Vicki Hutchins and Robert Sayen of Fennville, Cecilia Watts of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Katherine McGee of St. Petersburg, FL, and Antoinette and Jim Cole of Grand Haven, MI. Three grandchildren, Anthony R. Delke, Logan Delke, and Tobias Hutchins. Daughter-in-Law Julie Delke and one sister Gertrude Henneman of Douglas, MI. At his request cremation has taken place, and burial of his cremains will be in Douglas Cemetery. A memorial service will be at a later date.
