Loving father and husband, Allen Underwood, 82, of Silver Lake, Grand Junction, Michigan, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at his home. On May 22, 1932 in Elyria, Ohio, he was born to Walter B. and Eileen (Chaney) Underwood. Allen was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He lived in LaPorte, Indiana where he owned and operated Index Supply Co. for many years until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Congregational Church in South Haven, Michigan. He leaves behind his wife Maris of Grand Junction, son David (Claudia) Underwood of LaPorte, Indiana, daughter Annette Underwood of Conifer, CO and granddaughter Amber Underwood of Bloomingon, IN. In honor of his wishes there will be no funeral service or visitation. Graveside services will be held at the Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Indiana at a later date to be announced.
