Alice H. Allen, age 94, of Fennville, died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Grace of Douglas. Born November 17, 1914 in Conimicut, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of William and Emma (Hadfield) Worthington. A member of the Fennville Assembly of God church, she was a homemaker and also retired from High Q industries, in Fennville after twenty years of work. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Allen on Dec. 26, 1971 and by one son Charles William Allen on March 23, 1988. Surviving are her children; Donald L. Allen of Fennville, Robert and Bonnie Allen of Holland, Eva and Joe Posada of Allegan, Nella and Glenn Griffin of Searcy, Arkansas, Barbara Loveless of Fennville, Wilma Fay Snyder of Bartlett, Il and Karen and Danny Sprouse of Fennville, 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren, and one sister Emma McPhearson of Alberta, MI. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2009, and the funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July, 6, 2009 at the Chappell Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Jeffreys officiating.
