Obituary

Agnes F. Johnson, age 100, of Fennville, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at Grace of Douglas. Born March 17, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Robert Lester and Ella (Kirsch) Shealy. Agnes retired from GM Electro Motive in LaGrange, IL in 1972, and moved to the Fennville area in 1978. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas, and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. She was preceded in death by her husbands Charles Brooks and Raymond Johnson. Agnes is survived by her daughter Ella and Jerry Decker of Fennville, grandchildren; Debra and Tony Couturier, Brenda Langston, Bonny Decker, great-grandchildren; Randy, Joe, Kaitlyn, Cody, and Jacob, great great-grandchildren; Quinn and Addyson. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home, with a Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at St. Peter's Catholic Church Douglas, MI, with Fr. Fabio Garzon officiating. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice 4341 S. Westnage Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 or St. Peter's Catholic Church Douglas, MI.
