Michael Grigg Obituary

Michael Lynn Grigg

March 18, 1959 – April 12, 2024

Michael Lynn Grigg, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on April 12, 2024, in Fennville, MI, at the age of 65. Born on March 18, 1959, in Stratton, NE, he was a man of intelligence, adventure, and profound love for his family.

Those who knew Michael recognized him as a "make it happen" kind of guy. He was a hardworking individual throughout his life, dedicating many years as a factory worker where he was respected by his colleagues for his dedication and work ethic. Michael's intelligence was evident to all, especially when he would effortlessly answer questions while watching his favorite show, Jeopardy, much to the amazement of those around him.

Beyond his work, Michael was an avid outdoorsman. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping, pursuits that allowed him to embrace the beauty of nature. His love for softball was infectious, not only did he enjoy playing the game, but he also took great pride in coaching, influencing many young athletes with his passion and knowledge of the sport.

Above all, Michael's heart belonged to his family. He was a devoted father and a doting grandfather. His eyes would light up with joy whenever he played with his grandchildren. He was the embodiment of love and care, always putting the needs of his family before his own. His grandkids, in particular, were the recipients of his boundless energy and affection, and the memories of their laughter-filled playtimes will be treasured forever.

Adventurous at heart, Michael relished the simple pleasure of going on joy rides, where the journey was just as important as the destination. His adventures, whether planned or spontaneous, were always full of laughter and storytelling, traits that endeared him to all.

Michael's presence was a source of comfort and strength. His big heart and caring nature made him a pillar in his community and family. He was the kind of person who would go out of his way to help others, never expecting anything in return. His intelligence, combined with his loving and adventurous spirit, made him an unforgettable soul.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Elry and Margaret (Burris) Grigg, and brothers, Tom Grigg and Elry Jr. Grigg. His legacy continues through his cherished children, Sarah (Trevor), Stephanie (Steven), and Shannon (Joshua), his adored grandchildren, Ryleigh, Mia, Jazmine, and Izaiah; his caring siblings, Cindy Warchol, Alicia (Terry) Jeffrey, Sam (Candie) Grigg, and Debi (Mark) Howe; and many nieces and nephews who will miss his presence deeply.

The memories of Michael Lynn Grigg will be held in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends. Michael's life was a testament to the power of caring deeply for those around you and living each day with purpose and joy.

As we say farewell to Michael, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with the joys of family, the thrill of adventure, and the warmth of love that he shared so freely.
