Lois Jean Stevens

Lois Jean Stevens, 73, of Pullman, MI passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Hospice House of Holland. Lois was born on October 14, 1938 in Benton Harbor, Michigan the daughter of Donald and Ardis (Brown) Bender, she married Robert Stevens on August 10, 1968. Lois will be deeply missed by her husband, family, and friends. She was a huge Tigers fan and enjoyed going to the games and following them throughout the season. Lois was a member of the South Haven Moose Lodge and enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. She worked for Bohn Aluminum in South Haven for 31 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary Strejc. She is survived by her husband Robert Stevens of Pullman, MI, daughters Kim Stevens of Saugatuck, MI, Dawn Stevens of Pullman, MI, Kelli (Scott) Telkamp of El Dorado Springs, MS, Tracy Stevens of Harwood, MS, Lesli Durre of Nebraska, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister Donnette (Bob) Bookout of Allegan, MI, and brother in law Jerry Strejc. As to her wishes cremation has taken place and visitation will be held on Saturday, June 23, from 3-5PM at the Chappell Funeral Home in 637 W. Main St, Fennville, MI 49408. The family has asked that any donations for Lois be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Holland, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, donations envelops will be available at the funeral home, an online registry is available at www.chappellfuneralhome.com
